Pilgrimage to the Holy Land: In the Footsteps of Jesus, from October 11th to 23rd with Fr. Regi Mathew, O.F.M., spiritual leader.
This pilgrimage, endorsed and supported by the Commissariat of the Holy Land in Canada, is rooted in its mission to make known and to promote a love of the land promised by God to Abraham and his descendants.
Under the direction of Franciscan Fr. Regi Mathew, accompanied by an English-speaking Israeli guide from Boreal Tours, it offers spiritual animation, biblical expertise, and an exposure to the Church in the region where Jesus Christ lived and died.
It is a pilgrimage where Biblical accounts and the words of Christ come alive – from the silence of the desert, to the passageways of Nazareth; from the magnificent peaks of Mount Tabor, to the sea of Galilee and the hill from which Jesus preached his sermon; from Jerusalem, holy city of all Abraham’s descendants, to Christian holy sites and present-day churches entrusted to the sons of St. Francis. It is a pilgrimage focused on listening to the Word, and to discovering landscapes and the traditions and history that have shaped Christianity through the ages.
